Job Summary

Position Role: Principal operational and tactical level planner within Bde HQ responsible for production of Bde operational plans for all Standing Commitments (inc SCPD) Resilience Ops and Firm Base in Scotland.

1. Principal Planning Staff Officer for Bde and JMC (Scotland); lead production of Bde Plans Directives OpOs and FoE.

2. Lead planner on all Ceremonial Operations and PME within Scotland.

3. Bde Project Officer for Op FALCULAR (Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo) and Op UNICORN.

4. Plan and resource Ceremonial Operations and G7 commitments for BKA Coy 5 SCOTS at Bde level (incl TL Charlie and OTXs).

5. Focus for developing Bde HQs operational planning effectiveness including JMC (Scotland) UK Resilience exercises.

6. Provide Bde representation at Partner meetings where required to coordinate output (Royal Household Police Service of Scotland Scot Gov etc.)

7. BPT Support and Deliver additional Projects as directed by the CofC.

8. BPT perform the duties of DCOS/COS.
