In this pivotal role you will own manage and embed the Central Operations strategy while providing high-quality operational governance and rhythm of the business support. Your efforts will ensure that the Central Operations strategy is translated into clear priorities plans and governance enabling teams to focus on delivery decisions and value creation.
What youll be doing
Central Operations Strategy
Own the Central Operations strategy ensuring it is clearly articulated maintained and aligned to company priorities.
Translate strategic objectives into clear plans milestones and measurable outcomes.
Lead the 3 Year Plan (3YP) process end to end including progression through delivery stages and alignment to business rhythms.
Track strategic progress risks and dependencies escalating where required.
Ensure strategic priorities are consistently reflected across forums communications and reporting.
Act as the single point of coordination for strategy updates refreshes and approvals.
Operational Governance & Planning
Own the operational governance framework for Central Operations.
Plan and coordinate MBRs Ops Board and Ops Governance forums including agendas papers actions and follow-up.
Meeting & Forum Management
Design and maintain team meeting structures and agendas aligned to strategic priorities.
Manage project and transformation update forums ensuring clarity of purpose decisions and actions.
Facilitate sessions focused on simpler better more value ways of working.
Ensure meetings drive outcomes not activity.
Reporting & Communications
Own the Central Operations performance and strategy reporting cadence.
Coordinate operational and transformation reporting ensuring accuracy consistency and senior-level clarity.
Produce weekly round-up communications for Central Operations.
Prepare weekly executive updates synthesising insight progress and risks.
Stakeholder & Leadership Support
Provide direct strategic and operational support to Central Operations leadership.
Act as a trusted partner across HR Finance and Transformation to ensure joined-up delivery.
Enable leaders by removing friction improving clarity and maintaining focus on what matters most.
Provide general Central Operations support as required.
What youll need to have (our must-haves)
Strong strategy management and execution capability.
Excellent synthesis skills able to turn complexity into clarity.
Proven experience supporting senior leadership and governance forums.
High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management capability.
It would be great if you also have
Experience in large-scale retail or operational environments.
Exposure to transformation or change portfolios.
Strong commercial and financial awareness.
