Vehicle Networking Engineer (mwx) Communication Protocol and Hardware

The Vehicle Networking Engineer will be a key member of the Communication Protocol and Hardware team. The role is responsible for end-to-end networking validation across vehicle lines covering both data link and physical layer aspects of in-vehicle communication systems.

Tasks

• Design and implement communication protocols for vehicle networking systems ensuring seamless integration with existing hardware components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate hardware interfaces that meet functional safety standards and industry norms.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex networking issues in automotive environments providing innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in communication technologies and embedded systems to propose and integrate cutting-edge innovations.
• Document and maintain comprehensive technical specifications and reports facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field
• Proven experience with vehicle networking communication protocols such as CAN LIN FlexRay or Ethernet
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware integration
• Experience in software development for automotive applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
