Job Summary

We are seeking an Intermediate UX Designer to join a government digital services team focused on delivering intuitive accessible and user-centered solutions. You will play a key role in shaping digital products by combining research design thinking and iterative prototyping to create meaningful user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design user-friendly visually engaging interfaces across web and mobile platforms
  • Apply user-centered design principles and continuously iterate based on user feedback
  • Conduct user research interviews and usability testing
  • Translate insights into:
    • User flows
    • Journey maps
    • Wireframes & prototypes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Owners Developers Stakeholders)
  • Facilitate workshops and present design solutions to stakeholders
  • Identify UX challenges and deliver elegant scalable solutions
  • Ensure designs are optimized for accessibility and responsive experiences
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in UX/UI Design for web and mobile applications
  • Strong expertise in user-centered design mobile-first and responsive design
  • Proven experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments
  • Hands-on experience with Figma (required)
  • Proficiency in tools such as Sketch InVision Adobe Creative Suite Axure Zeplin
  • Experience creating:
    • Wireframes prototypes and user journeys
    • Research reports and usability testing outputs
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions and present to stakeholders
  • Experience working with design systems and service design frameworks
  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant UX work (must be accessible without password)
Technical & Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Familiarity with HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript (React Angular )
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and testing
  • Experience in public sector / government projects (preferred)
  • Understanding of DABL methodology (Discovery Alpha Beta Live)
  • Knowledge of network security and protocols (optional)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
