Job Summary
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the SENCA Community Action Center Nutritional Program.
MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Comply with food service regulations as required.
2. Develop menus in compliance with food service regulations.
3. Order food supplies in a cost efficient manner.
4. Prepare food prepare Meals on Wheels for delivery set tables serve meals and clean up
afterwards.
5. Take and record meal reservations.
6. Assume full responsibility of meal program and provides emergency assistance in the
absence of the Family Development Specialist/Associate.
7. Record compile and maintain all nutritional information and submit reports as required to
SENCA and Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging.
8. Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and food storage areas at all times.
9. Assist Family Development Specialist/Associate in planning organizing and constructing
fundraisers for the benefit of the nutrition program and/or center.
10. Recruit and train volunteers to assist in the nutrition program.
11. Arranges for delivery of food items from Lincoln Food Bank
12. Actively participate in efforts to meet the SENCA goals identified within the current SENCA
Strategic Plan.
13. Actively participate in setting tracking and attaining the three national ROMA Next
Generation Goals.
14. Demonstrate active employee engagement by using individual talents providing a
consistent level of high performance building connections and professional networks
having high energy broadening responsibilities and building on those responsibilities.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in preparing large quantities of food desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and public relations skills.
- Possess basic math and money handling skills
- Possess ability to work under minimal supervision and have organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Possess the capability to learn and implement new and improved procedures and techniques
in all areas regarding agency data.
2. Possess and retain a valid drivers license for the state of legal residence prior to any driving
responsibilities to travel for agency business as required.
3. Must be able to travel for agency business and attend out of area training meetings and/or
conferences as required.
4. Maintain an effective working relationship with staff program participants general public and
other state and federal agencies.
5. Able to work with others in a team environment.
6. To be knowledgeable of all SENCA programs/services and minimum guidelines for
participation.
7. Maintain confidentiality of information as required by SENCA personnel policies and/or state
and federal regulations.
8. Maintain ones self at all times so as not to bring discredit upon themselves or the agency.
9. Understand and comply with the agencys Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Policy Drug
