Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Darlington is seeking a creative process minded data-driven individual for the role of Roll Mill Engineer. This position will be embedded within the Rolling Mill team and expected to work closely with operations maintenance and quality teams. A successful candidate will be safety minded team focused and action oriented. This position will be expected to be a production-critical support/resource analyze lead and improve data-driven processes assist the team with troubleshooting systemic problems and learn/develop new analysis tools with the intent to improve productivity and profitability. The qualified candidate must be able to comply with a rotating work schedule working 12 hour shifts including nights weekends holidays etc. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa).
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year Engineering Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership Experience
- Experience in Roll Mill or Roll Shop Operations
- Experience with data analysis tools
