Location: Davenport IA 52809
Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 3rd Shift (Off-shift with overtime & weekend rotation)
Job Summary
Leads shop floor operations by supervising production maintenance and warehouse teams. Drives performance across safety quality delivery and cost while acting as the bridge between workforce and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage production and operational teams
- Ensure achievement of departmental goals (safety quality efficiency)
- Act as first-line liaison between employees and management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Monitor and improve team and line performance
Core Duties
- Lead execution of departmental plans and production targets
- Investigate and resolve process system and workforce issues
- Enforce company policies safety standards and procedures
- Manage employee performance discipline and engagement
- Coordinate training tools and resources for team success
- Plan equipment maintenance to maximize uptime
- Control operational costs and meet budget targets
- Collaborate with safety teams to reduce workplace risks
Requirements
- Strong supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work 3rd shift overtime and rotating weekends
- Flexibility to support multiple departments (fabrication welding machining paint etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook)
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred 2 years supervisory experience
OR - High school diploma with relevant supervisory experience
