Summary:
Demonstrate basic technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
Perform under supervision the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering specifications drawings and maintenance manuals to ensure defect-free systems.
Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations. Troubleshoot processes to provide timely quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
Acquire and demonstrate skills required to repair or replace defective components and wiring ensuring installations meet conformity. Perform splicing soldering and pinning of wiring using acceptable repair practices.
Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.
Assist in the setup and operation of test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
Under supervision ensure all work performed is properly documented and inspection-ready.
Test and maintain test equipment electronic systems and components.
Comply with FOD program tool control program 5-S program and all safety regulations.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing which may include flight tests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of related work experience or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders work in confined areas and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
