Job Summary
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of inventory control and kitting operations. This role directs the work of frontline associates ensures adherence to established processes and supports inventory accuracy through cycle counting audits and issue escalation. The Supervisor focuses on execution team performance and compliance while partnering with management on process improvements and complex issue resolution. This position is on-site at our Grand Forks ND location.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control and kitting activities.
- Execute and monitor cycle count schedules; ensure completion and accuracy.
- Review inventory transactions for accuracy and compliance with standard procedures.
- Identify investigate and escalate inventory discrepancies to management.
- Perform routine audits of inventory processes and documentation to ensure consistency.
- Support kitting operations by prioritizing and tracking assembly orders.
- Monitor team productivity and accuracy; provide real-time feedback and direction.
- Ensure team adherence to safety standards and company policies.
- Train coach and support development of team members.
- Assist with onboarding and cross-training of associates.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in business or supply chain
- 4 years of experience in inventory control warehouse operations or related field plus
- 1 years of leading with the functional area is preferred
Skills Abilities and Knowledge
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel preferred).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory processes.
- Ability to follow established procedures and enforce standards.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving capability with ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in standard and non-standard situations.
Travel
- Travel is not required.

- Manager: Plans organizes evaluates and directs the employees within the department function. Has direct reports.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is subject to Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time the job is rated for light work.
Physical Activities
- This position is subject to the following physical activities: talking hearing and the use of hands fingers or wrists in repetitive motions.
Visual Acuity
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions
- This role is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes.
