About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager (L4) to support YouTubes Trust & Safety operations on a temporary leave coverage assignment through August 2026. This role is critical to ensuring continuity of vendor operations service delivery and program execution during a transition period. Given the nature of leave coverage the ideal candidate should be a fast starter who can quickly ramp up operate with minimal handholding and effectively manage ongoing workflows while identifying areas for improvement. This role follows a hybrid work model based in San Bruno California requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite per week with flexibility for full-week onsite requirements as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end vendor operations for outsourced content moderation programs.
- Ensure vendors consistently meet key performance metrics (e.g. quality productivity policy adherence).
- Conduct data analysis and root cause analysis (RCA) to identify operational gaps and drive improvements.
- Oversee day-to-day workflow management including stabilization of existing processes and setup of new workflows.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor partners ensuring seamless communication and execution.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with:
- Vendor Management
- Workforce Management (WFM)
- Forecasting
- Finance
- Product & Policy (Trust & Safety / Acceptable Use teams)
- Support program governance and reporting ensuring visibility into performance and risks.
- Handle operational and administrative tasks to maintain team continuity during the coverage period.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in Operations / Operations Management.
- Proven experience in content operations customer support operations or similar high-volume environments.
- Strong program management skills including managing large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
- Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to interpret metrics identify trends and perform RCA.
- Experience working with external vendors or outsourcing partners.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in content moderation outsourcing or Trust & Safety operations.
- Background in consulting firms (e.g. BCG KPMG) with relevant program exposure.
- Familiarity with SQL or data tools for deeper analysis.
- Exposure to AI-driven workflows or product-policy collaboration environments.
- Experience in tech startup or mid-sized fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work with global stakeholders and distributed teams.
