The responsibility for Fraud Risk Management is within the functional remit of the First Line of Defence(1LOD)and has beenestablishedas an enduring Global Fraud Risk Management functionsupporting Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB). The primary role purpose is to support thebusinessinidentifyingand mitigatingpayment andcardfraudrisk andmake informed risk decisions.

We are currently seekinghiringfor the role ofManagerCIBFraud Risk Management (Europe).

What you will do:

The role holder willprimarilysupporta focus on Fraud Risk Management for CIB in Europe responsible fordevelopingimplementingand overseeing management strategies and deliverableswith a core focus on Card and PaymentFraud..

In this role you will:

  • Mitigation of 3rd Party fraud risks (Payments and Cards) within CIB in Europe (HCIB) to ensure key fraud risks are identified and managed
  • Contributeinhighlighting common issuesrisksand best practice by working with the frontlineGlobal Payment Services (GPS)and GlobalCIBFraud teams(1LOD & 2LOD) and outsourced partners including HBUK Fraud and BPCE (external)
  • End to end oversight of outsourced controls read across of fraud related issues and issue management.
  • Completion ofregulatory fraud reports expected by our regulators(e.g. OSCAMP REP017 Unauthorised Fraud notification Transaction Risk Analysis(TRA))
  • Management oftheCIBFraud governance frameworkfor Europetimelyandaccuratereporting to Group committees/ external stakeholders anddevelopment/use of MI and issues reporting to address and/or risk acceptidentifiedresidual risk levels
  • Holistic review and challenge of investigations following disputes of bank card transactions by cardholdersnotablyfiles with significant net losses or escalated by our external/internalservice provider for advice (reimbursement or rejection of the cardholders request) or newfraud scenarios

You should apply if you have:

  • Ability to work independently and apply judgement/critical thinking toidentifyrisks and trends.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way.

  • Good command of office tools (Word ExcelPowerpoint).

  • Detail orientated with the ability to collectorganiseand interpret statistical information

  • Knowledge ofPayment and Card fraud typologies would be an advantage.

  • Goodunderstanding of theHCIBorganization with experience in working across multiple geographiesadvantageous.

  • Spoken and written fluency in Frenchand English
