Job Summary
THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As an Intern Merchandise Planning Beauty Haircare you are responsible for providing analytical insights that enable yourself others in the team and our partners to make decisions which improve the assortment for the customer and contribute to the units success. You are accountable for taking actions that directly impact the financial performance of your unit through price steering and the management of the stock. You have an awareness of external market trends and developments that can impact your unit. To deliver your role you have a strong analytical understanding and can confidently use Excel and Google Suite.

You manage stock intake and replenishment into the business provide insights on future deliveries and are comfortable to flag any risks to your team. Provide analytical support to drive decision-making using data. You produce detailed reports and analysis for weekly trade meetings and ad-hoc requests from your planning team. Resolve commercial and operational problems with the guidance of your team. Clearly communicate key messages to your direct team and key stakeholders e.g. Buying Operations teams and external brand partners to allow decisions to be made. Bachelors degree ideally first experience working in merchandise planning or a commercially facing analytical role (in retail or ecommerce). Able to demonstrate an understanding of KPIs and what price and stock actions can be taken to impact the business. Motivated structured able to prioritise and positive in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment embracing change and being always on the hunt for solutions. You exercise high levels of personal accountability and are willing to go the extra mile to achieve results. You have excellent English skills and communicate clearly with varied (internal and external) stakeholders You love to work with numbers and figures & think strategically.
