A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. This role involves providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures ensuring safety quality outcomes and adherence to clinical standards.
Responsibilities
Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation evaluation)
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac interventions (PCI ablation pacemaker/ICD TAVR)
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
Serve as a resource and mentor for staff and assist with training/orientation
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care programs
Ensure compliance with safety infection control and facility protocols
Utilize electronic health records and nursing informatics systems
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing education
Experience Requirements
Experience in acute cardiac care or step-down unit required
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
Must be able to wear lead apron during procedures
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
On-call availability required
Preferred Qualifications
CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) or CRN (Certified Radiology Nurse) certification preferred
