The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires technical proficiency attention to patient care and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as prescribed by physicians.
Prepare and position patients to ensure high-quality imaging results.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Document imaging procedures using electronic systems such as Epic Systems.
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members.
Ensure imaging rooms and equipment are properly maintained.
Schedule & Work Environment
Day shift (8-hour shifts)
Full-time schedule (5 days per week)
Clinical or hospital imaging setting
No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
Active Radiologic Technologist certification/licensure (state-specific)
ARRT certification (preferred/required depending on facility)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in diagnostic radiography
Preferred Skills
Experience in high-volume imaging environments
Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
