Job Title: Repair Design Engineer
Location: Bristol Hybrid (Minimum 3 Days On-Site Per Week)
Working Pattern: Full Time
Grade: SNBG 07-10
As a Repair Design Engineer you will play a crucial role in supporting operational Defence customers and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facilities. You will be responsible for developing validating and implementing innovative repair solutions that extend the life of mission-critical components. Working with advanced aerospace technology you will ensure that Rolls-Royce engines remain operational efficient and cost-effective.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a huge diversity of products including engines such as Adour EJ200 RB199 Gem Gnome Viper Spey MTR390 MT30 Pegasus TP400 MRTT and WR21. What You Will Be Doing
As a Repair Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions that support the repair and maintenance of critical aerospace components. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining developing and substantiating Repair Instructions and coordinating implementation at internal and external Repair suppliers.
- Establishing acceptance standards for service-run components and supporting MRO operations in hardware disposition.
- Collaborating with Materials Repair Technology teams to develop and apply innovative repair and inspection technologies.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce repair costs and improve component reliability.
- Driving continuous improvement in processes and tools used for developing and supporting repair instructions.

To be successful in this role you should have:
- A degree in a STEM subject or relevant engineering experience (Mechanical Aeronautical Electrical or Controls).
- A broad understanding of gas turbine technologies (training can be provided).
- Strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- The ability to manage multiple delivery commitments across different customers and timelines.
