Condition Monitoring - Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Condition Monitoring - Operations Manager to lead a team responsible for monitoring and improving the health and performance of Caterpillar equipment fleets. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in mining construction or waste-handling equipment who is ready to step into a leadership role while remaining closely connected to real-world operations.
In this position you will oversee a team of Condition Monitoring Advisors who work directly with dealers and customers to maximize machine availability reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and minimize unplanned downtime. Unlike traditional supervisory roles that are removed from day-to-day operations this role stays actively engaged with customers dealers and internal partnersensuring technical excellence customer value and consistent execution.

What You Will Do
Lead & Develop the Team: Supervise coach and mentor a team of Condition Monitoring Advisors ensuring high-quality analysis consistent recommendations and strong customer engagement.
Oversee Machine Health Monitoring: Ensure effective monitoring of 100150 Caterpillar machines per advisor using the five elements of condition monitoring: SOS fluid analysis Product Link/VIMS data inspection reports backlog management and site conditions.
Ensure Quality & Consistency: Review and guide analytical outputs to ensure data from all condition monitoring elements is accurately correlated prioritized and translated into actionable recommendations.
Customer & Dealer Engagement: Support and when needed lead regular meetings with customers dealers and product groups to review fleet performance align on priorities and drive action plans.
Strategic Advisory Role: Serve as a senior technical and consultative resource for customers and dealers supporting long-term equipment management and reliability strategies.
Operational Performance Management: Monitor workload distribution service quality and turnaround times to ensure commitments to dealers and customers are met.
Leverage Analytics & Improvement Opportunities: Identify opportunities to enhance analytics accelerate issue detection and continuously improve condition monitoring processes and outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including product groups and service organizations to resolve systemic issues and improve overall equipment performance.
What Skills You Will Have
Leadership & Coaching: Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams in Product Support Engineering or Reliability environments.
Technical Expertise: Strong background in heavy equipment systems including engines powertrain hydraulics Product Link VIMS inspection processes equipment lifecycle planning and SOS Services. Familiarity with Caterpillar systems and SISweb is highly desirable.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to assess complex equipment data identify trends and guide effective decision-making using structured analytical tools.
Consultative Mindset: Working knowledge of predictive maintenance and reliability engineering with experience advising customers or internal stakeholders.
Customer Focus: Strong understanding of customer operations and priorities with the ability to align technical recommendations to business value.
Communication Excellence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Relationship Management: Comfortable operating in customer-facing environments building trust with dealers and customers and maintaining strong long-term partnerships.
