About the Role

The Corporate Affairs Senior Manager is aleadership role within the Clients & Markets function. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications the roleis responsible forsettingBDO Australias corporate affairsstrategy and leading a dedicated Corporate Affairs team ensuring communications are clear coordinatedriskawareand aligned to firm strategy and values.

The role provides trusted advice to the Chief Executive Partner and leadership during crisis or significant issues situations and is accountable for strengthening and protecting BDO Australias reputation through disciplined governance and delivery.

Key priorities will be within the following areas:

  • CorporateAffairs (includingforinternal areas such as firm strategy and leadership communications);

  • Media and External Affairs;

  • Issues and Crisis Communications;

  • Team leadership

About You

This position is suited to an individual with:

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate affairscommunicationsor PR roles;

  • Demonstrated experience in mediaissuesand crisis communications (essential);

  • Strong stakeholder management capability with the ability to influence andadvisesenior leaders and Partners in complex environments;

  • Strong understanding of Australian media environments;

  • Proven ability to build a collaborativehigh performingteam culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability;

  • Strong people leadership capability including coaching capability uplift and developing talent within the team;

  • Experience in professional services or complex corporate organisations preferred;

  • Strong judgementdiscretionand stakeholder management capability;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications Public Relations JournalismBusinessor related discipline.
