As a School Site Lead at New Story Schools you will serve as the driving force behind your schools success. You will guide teams to deliver consistent high-quality instruction and behavioral support. Your leadership will directly impact student growth staff development and overall school culture. The School Site Lead plays a critical role in creating a safe structured and high-quality learning environment for students with diverse needs.

What Youll Need

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of five years of experience in special education or direct student services

  • Demonstrated leadership experience including the ability to supervise coach and develop staff

  • Demonstrated professionalism sound judgment and reliability in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders

  • Knowledge of behavior science principles and evidence-based special education practices

  • Experience serving as a school principal or in a comparable leadership role within a similar educational environment

What Youll Do

  • Supervise coach and develop staff using behavior science principles

  • Oversee daily school operations ensuring alignment with program model and compliance requirements

  • Support high-quality implementation of student programming and special education services

  • Serve as the primary liaison between New Story Schools and district leadership ensuring clear communication strong partnership and alignment with district expectations and agreements

  • Monitor and support the overall health of the district partnership proactively addressing concerns and ensuring a positive and collaborative experience

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with families and outside professionals

  • Manage school facility property and overall safety standards

  • Model professionalism follow policies implement feedback and attend required meetings

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and completing assigned duties
