On behalf of our client we are looking for a competent skilled and experienced IP Engineer to work in Nairobi Kenya
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced IP Engineer to design implement and manage the companys IP network infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability performance and security of the ISP network.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design configure and maintain IP network infrastructure
Manage routing and switching (BGP OSPF VLANs etc.)
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
Implement network security protocols and best practices
Work with fiber and access network teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Plan and execute network expansions and upgrades
Maintain documentation of network architecture and configurations
Provide support for enterprise and residential connectivity solutions
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong knowledge of IP networking and ISP architecture
Experience with routing protocols (BGP OSPF MPLS preferred)
Hands-on experience with routers switches and firewalls
Familiarity with network monitoring tools
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Willingness to relocate from Kenya to Tanzania
Certifications such as CCNA CCNP or equivalent
Experience working in ISP or telecom environments
Knowledge of network security and traffic management
