Description

The Reliability Data Scientist III is a senior technical expert responsible for leading advanced analytics initiatives to improve product reliability. This role designs and implements complex predictive models mentors junior data scientists and partners with engineering leadership to drive strategic reliability improvements across multiple product lines.

This position supports Rheem North America and will be based in Roswell GA or Montgomery AL.



Responsibilities
  • Collect and organize engineering data from multiple sources for analysis.
  • Perform data cleaning transformation and preparation for modeling.
  • Conduct basic exploratory data analysis to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Assist in building and testing predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Support development of dashboards and visualizations for reliability reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
  • Collect prepare and transform engineering data for analysis.
  • Perform exploratory and predictive analytics; identify patterns and trends.
  • Design and build scalable machine learning models and statistical models.
  • Develop engineering dashboards and support production deployment.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and present complex concepts clearly.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data from distributed sources.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing for data solutions.
  • Lead development of advanced statistical and machine learning models for reliability prediction.
  • Oversee data strategy including architecture for large-scale engineering data integration.
  • Perform complex analytics on structured and unstructured data to identify systemic reliability risks.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies and influence product design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain reliability dashboards and enterprise-level reporting systems.
  • Mentor and guide Level I and II data scientists; provide technical leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in data science and reliability engineering.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify reliability trends.
  • Design and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms for forecasting.
  • Develop statistical models to enhance performance and flexibility.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define reliability KPIs and
  • Drive innovation in reliability analytics tools and methodologies.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 5 years of professional experience in data science advanced analytics or reliability-focused projects.
  • Experience with data analytics statistics or engineering data analysis.
  • Experience with working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience with Python or R for scripting and analysis.
  • Experience with Basic SQL for data extraction.
  • Experience with Data visualization tools (Power BI Tableau).
  • Experience with statistical methods (distributions regression A/B testing Bayesian inference).
  • Experience with database systems (SQL MongoDB AWS).
  • Experience with machine learning techniques (Logistic Regression Decision Trees Random Forests SVMs Clustering Time Series).
  • Experience with Visualization tools (Power BI Tableau).
  • Proven track record of deploying predictive models and machine learning solutions at scale.
  • Experience in leading projects and mentoring teams.
  • Experience in performing complex statistical analysis and data mining on large distributed datasets.
  • Experience in using big data platforms advanced ML techniques (including Neural Networks and Deep Learning) and visualization tools for executive reporting.
  • Experience with collaborating with engineering and product teams to influence design and reliability improvements.
  • Availability for 10% travel to collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing sites in alignment with strategic business needs.

HOW TO STAND OUT

  • Masters in electrical/mechanical engineering or computer science.
  • PhD in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms and scalable data architectures.
