Position Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Operating Room (Orthopedic Focus)
Location: York Maine Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

36 hours per week
Day Shift
4 x 9-hour shifts
Shift Hours: Between 06:45 AM 04:15 PM
On-Call Required (Must be able to return within 45 minutes)
Holiday coverage required
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support a high-performing Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will bring strong orthopedic surgical experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
Set up and break down the operating room before and after surgeries
Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols
Handle surgical instruments equipment and supplies appropriately
Assist in orthopedic procedures including use of specialized instruments and implants
Monitor and manage inventory of surgical supplies
Collaborate with surgeons nurses and anesthesia staff
Respond to on-call duties and emergency surgical cases as required
Required Qualifications
Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification
Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience
Orthopedic surgical experience (Required)
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation
Expertise in sterile techniques and infection control practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment
Excellent teamwork communication and organizational skills
Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
