Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC isSeeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an adult inpatient psychiatric unit. The RN will provide direct patient care support acute psychiatric stabilization and ensure a safe and structured therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult psychiatric patients
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Manage and de-escalate behavioral health situations
- Maintain patient safety and unit structure
- Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR
- Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Support therapeutic activities and patient education
- Float to Chemical Dependency/Detox units as required
Qualifications
- Active Maine RN license (Required)
- BLS certification (Required)
- CPI certification (Required)
- Minimum 13 years psychiatric nursing experience (Preferred)
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress behavioral health settings
