The Pediatric Sedation Service is seeking an experienced Pediatric Sedation Nurse Coordinator to help launch and run this specialty program. This is a clinical coordinator role focused on pediatric procedural sedation working closely with nurse and physician leaders to develop workflows schedules and provide direct patient care in procedural and PACU-type settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Flexible and open minded to new initiatives and workflows with the new sedation service
Collaboration with multidisciplinary team outpatient clinic staff and CORP
Screening and referral of appropriate patients to CCPO for comprehensive evaluation prior to scheduling
Triage sedation patients for appropriateness of scheduling for sedation. Chart review and data entry
Scheduling of all patients for sedation (will be required to complete Epic scheduling training)
Pre-Sedation phone call to patients and families prior to procedures
Post-Sedation Discharge phone call for outpatients
Position Details:
Hours: 40hrs/week M-F 8a-4:30p (this may be flexible)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Several years of pediatric nursing experience; PACU procedural or prep/recovery experience strongly preferred.
- Prior specialty/procedural nursing experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and coordination skills; experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to adjust and collaborate on schedules to support physician and service needs.
Salary Range: Minimum 39.94/hour - Maximum 61.91/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
