Job Summary

Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of Physics and Astronomy to teach an introductory survey course in Astronomy for non-majors and/or an algebra-based introductory course in physics. The courses will be taught in person beginning August 24 2026; the employment period extends for two weeks following the completion of the Fall Semester. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The rank will be Adjunct Assistant Professor or Adjunct Instructor depending on qualifications. Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate in Physics or Astronomy. Teaching experience preferred. The salary is $7000 per course.
