What you get to do:

• Perform required preventative maintenance service and/or inspections on the following (not limited to): Buoyancy Control Devices Regulator Sets AGA/Guardian Full Face Masks Submersible Pressure Gauges Emergency Air Buoyancy Devices & Waist Packs Umbilical Dive Hoses Air Cylinders Fill Stations Diving Air Compressors
• Update and maintain all the preventative maintenance service and inspections logs and records in accordance with SEA/OHSA standards and regulations.
• Maintain the highest standards of work area cleanliness at all times
• Become a resource of information for the Dive shop personnel and leadership
• Assist Leadership with maintaining the dive gear budget as required by the preventative maintenance schedule on all dive gear
• Maintain records and remain OSHA compliant
• Ensure safe handling storage and disposal practices for toxic substances and hazardous waste in accordance with company policies
• Properly care for and maintain assigned dive gear
• Complete required tasks with limited supervision
• Show positive attitude working in a team environment
• Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements expectations and needs
• Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed
• Must follow all SEA and Dive Locker policies
• Encourage and demonstrate confidentiality and professional communication internally and with all departments that interact with the Zoological department
• Assist Department with other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be a current SEA Diver and current on all required Dive training
• Must have at least 1 year diving work experience
• Must have thorough knowledge of all types of self-contained and surface supplied underwater breathing equipment including their advantages and limitations
• Must either have or be able to obtain the following required training: PSI Cylinder Inspection ScubaPro/Aqualung dive gear OTS Guardian Mask to be ren Interspiro AGA Mask SEA MK EABD Spare Air Pressure Gauge Comparison
• Must know the cause symptoms treatment of and preventative measures for all types of diving accidents as well as knowledge of divers diseases and emergency remedial procedures.
• Must be able to swim and work in/around water
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift push and pull 100 pounds
• Knowledge of dive related illnesses and SEA emergency response procedures
• Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts
• Must demonstrate a passion for dive safety
• Must demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in troubleshooting and repairing frequently used equipment but not limited to the following: Hull scrubbers Pressure washers Hydraulic and Pneumatic tools Plugs and Patches Underwater pneumatic and hydraulic power tools
