The opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join our Workers Compensation Team in Perth. You will be part of a successful and dynamic team spread across Australia with the opportunity to grow and develop your insurance and underwriting career. You will be responsible for running a profitable Workers Compensation portfolio providing insights and expertise to your customers including underwriting maintaining a renewal portfolio new business and responding to quotes.

Your new role
A day in the life of a Senior Underwriter might look a bit like this:
- Underwrite risks in accordance with defined limits of authority or class authority organisational policy and underwriting standards
- Plan and implement a strategy to attract and retain high value customers and to improve current performing policies to ensure portfolio plans are met
- Monitor client and market requirements and client feedback by conducting client calls and visits
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with organisation guidelines
- Provide efficient and timely service & problem-solving solutions to brokers and clients
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all customers intermediaries and internal stakeholders
About you
The ideal candidate will have a solid background as an Underwriter with a working knowledge of Workers Compensation. You will also have:
- Established customer/broker relationship management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of relevant Insurance market conditions
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse data and use for decision making
- Proven problem solving and negotiation skills
