How youll contribute

AStaffing Coordinatorwho excels in this role:

  • Performs a variety of duties to support nursing administration. Reviews staffing needs daily calculating staffing requirements based on flexible staffing patterns and patient acuity and maintains record of reports.
  • Supervises Patient Sitters.
  • Reviews staffing levels to actively resolve staffing shortages using flexible staffing plan as guidelines for staffing requirements.
  • In timely manner informs appropriate Director when staffing issues are anticipated and/or occur.
  • Determines coordinates and supervises staffing assignments for patient sitters.
    Provides recruitment direction orientation training coaching and mentoring to Patient Sitters.
  • Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs.
  • Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
  • Composes types and transcribes correspondence forms reports presentation materials and other written communications.
  • Receives screens and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to escalates and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
  • Schedules/coordinates meetings conferences special events and appointments.
  • Maintains assigned calendar(s).
  • Maintains files and office equipment.
  • Orders and stocks supplies.
  • Additional duties as assigned and needed.

What were looking for

  • Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment prior to any patient contact

Schedule: 5x8 Days rotating weekends

Collin Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in McKinney Texaspart of the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area. We provide inpatient and outpatient programming for those facing mental health and addiction challenges. Our programs offer caring compassionate treatment for adolescents and provide evidence-based inpatient and outpatient programming for those facing mental health and addiction challenges. We treat children and adolescents aged 11 and adults aged 18.

Programs include inpatient mental health and addiction treatment Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Help for Heroes. And we are affiliated with The Jason Foundation.
