Role Overview:

Huntsman is currently recruiting for a Process Operator at our chemical manufacturing site in Llanelli South Wales. As part of a shift team of Operators you will be responsible for providing a flexible resource for a number of production areas across a lower Tier COMAH site operating plant equipment and chemical process. As a Process Operator you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our chemical manufacturing processes.

Role Responsibilities:

• Operate continuous and batch chemical process and utility units through both field operation and control room DCS operation.

• Perform regular process unit checks taking samples for laboratory analysis and adjusting process operations as necessary.

• Directed by the Lead Operator to carry out specific duties to maintain optimised operation of the production units.

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify and address equipment issues promptly.

• Prepare the production unit for maintenance activities such as plant wash outs and isolation of process equipment.

• Responsible for safely offloading high hazard materials to site storage tanks.

• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

• Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with Huntsman Corporate EHS and Business Conduct Policies and guidelines.

Experience and Competencies:

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Process Operator.

• Preferably experience in the chemical industry; however candidates with relevant experience in other industries will be considered.

• Preferably Process Plant Operations (PPO) level 3 qualification or equivalent such as BTEC / C&G or NVQ level 3.

• Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot chemical processes and equipment.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a shift-based environment.

• Familiarity with health safety and environmental regulations.

• Proactive career-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
