JOB TITLE:
Hourly Pooled - Shipping and Receiving Assistant
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist Shipping & Receiving Department in terms of outgoing and incoming freight packages and mail
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist delivering and pick up of freight packages and mail on campus.
- Assist with preparing outgoing shipments.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Other warehouse duties as needed (sweeping organizing etc.)
COMPETENCIES:
- Attention to detail
- Customer service orientated
- Safety conscious
- Comfortable with computer usage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree or equivalent GED
- Able to lift 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Valid drivers license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Shipping & receiving experience
- Competent ability with verbal written and interpersonal communication skills in-person and over the phone
- Knowledge of UPS FedEx and USPS shipping systems (creating labels for outgoing packages)
- Basic computer skills including most Microsoft programs
- Ability to drive larger delivery vehicle in tight campus locations

WORK LOCATION:
On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus understanding our location is at 7220 feet above sea level.
