About the Role
The Department of Mobility and Public Works is seeking a Junior Project Leader to support ongoing infrastructure and development projects. This role is ideal for a junior professional with a foundation in project management who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a structured public-sector environment.
You will work closely with Project Leaders and Project Support Officers (PSOs) contributing to project administration data quality and reporting within tools such as Planview. This assignment also includes improving SharePoint and knowledge management environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project leaders in project planning and execution
- Maintain and improve project administration and reporting
- Ensure data quality consistency and completeness
- Assist with risk and issue management processes
- Contribute to management reporting and documentation
- Support document management and archiving (digital & physical)
- Help optimize SharePoint and knowledge environments
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in project management (infrastructure or development projects preferred)
- Experience with project support and reporting
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- SharePoint
- Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2 PMBOK)
- Familiarity with project management tools (risk & issue tracking)
- Fluent Dutch (C2 level CEFR)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ITIL
- Knowledge of MS Project
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Independent working style with proactive communication
- People-oriented and result-driven mindset
