The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager III to take full operational ownership of our clients pork processing facility in Logansport IN. You will lead all functional areas across three production shifts including maintenance safety sanitation shipping/receiving and quality control. You wont just be managing production; you will be responsible for the facilitys culture performance improvement and long-term succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Oversee the efficient operation of three shifts ensuring high production standards while meeting all scheduling and shipping requirements.
• Strategic Leadership: Facilitate Talent Mapping and Succession Planning programs. Motivate and coach your management team to enhance the skill sets of their respective workforces.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain absolute adherence to food safety food quality and legality standards. Act as the final authority on facility-wide safety protocols.
• Performance Analysis: Review complex cost and performance data to identify operational bottlenecks and lead the implementation of process improvements.
• Issue Resolution: Take the lead on resolving critical quality issues regarding incoming and outgoing goods; initiate action-deeper investigations to correct systemic production problems.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Industry Experience: 8 years of progressive experience specifically within the meat/protein processing industry.
• Operational Oversight: Proven ability to manage large multi-departmental teams performing diverse and complex tasks.
• Computer Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and preferred working knowledge of SAP systems.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in a technical or professional field is required.

• Deep technical knowledge of the pork or broader meat-processing value chain.
• Experience in high-volume multi-shift plant environments.
