Sr. NPI Engineer
Job Summary
About the role:
Launching new products in the production area following internal and external procedures in order to assure the objectives of: quality cost productivity and HSE also coordinating the design modification and supporting for improvements in the serial life.
Coordinating NPI process improvements and supporting the integration of new colleagues in the process.
What the role involves:
- Is in countinous connection with CET functions in order to have a flawless launch for new products followith NPI Phases.
- Is coordinating design modifications for new products or serial products and is requesting BOM change to logistic dpt if its the case.
- Based on the new products design is supporting MFG dpt to identify the right process.
- Is coordinating the tooling aquisition together with MFG and AME teams.
- Is coordinating the creation of PFMEA for new projects.
- Is coordinating together with CQE the documentation creation for new projects.
- Is cheking together with CQE and MFG Engineer the line parameters for new projects.
- Is coordinating the opening and closure of the internal homologation file with CQE for new projects or modification.
- Together with CQE is training the other functions for CSR.
- Is participating and supporting the quality functions for CQI and CQC analysis in order to reduce the PPM level.
- Is participating and supporting all customer or certification audits where is requested.
- Is participating in PAC meetings where new projects are presented.
- Act based on Garrett DNA and is achievieng the objectives set up by the manager in the Oracle system.
- Is using LSW system.
- Active contribution for all type of improvements in order to eliminate the wastes and improving the overall metrics (cost quality HSE etc).
- Kaizen ideas proposal in conformity with plant objectives.
- Is participating in all meetings where is requested his role (daily tier meetings weekly CET meetings weekly dpt meetings etc.
What we need:
Degree or Equivalent in Engineering Discipline
Experience in automotive area on manufacturing/project management/quality (2-3 years minimum)
Fluent in English
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Proven problem solving skills including ability to interpret data define actions and implement solutions
Team player
