Aurecons Infrastructure Advisory team is growing nationally and we are seeking Senior Consultants to join our expanding multidisciplinary team across Australia. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex highimpact infrastructure initiatives partnering with public and private sector clients from early investment thinking through to delivery.

What will you do

As aSenior Consultant in Infrastructure Advisory you will support clients to translate identified needs intoinvestmentready deliveryfocused solutions. Working within integrated client teams you will apply engineering judgement structuredanalysisand advisory discipline to improve the maturityconsistencyand evidence base of earlystage project decisions.

This role focuses onfrontend project shaping- including needs validation options assessment preferred optiondefinitionand planninglevel costriskand program inputs to strengthen investment confidence and enable smoother transition into delivery.

You will work closely with planningengineeringand delivery teams across Aurecon to ensure that advisory insights are practical grounded in technical reality and aligned with longterm operational and strategic outcomes for water clients.

In this role you will:

• Deliver early-stage advisory for water projects shaping optionsscopesand business case outcomes

• Integrate multidisciplinary inputs to produce clearpracticaland decision-ready planning outputs

• Strengthen investment confidence through costprogramand risk inputs at planning stage

• Embed within client teams to support transparent decisions and seamless transition to delivery

• Contribute to proposals clientengagementand team collaboration across the water sector

What can you bring to the team

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (or closely related technical discipline) complemented by postgraduate ordemonstratedcapability in business economicsfinanceor planning.

• Experience in water/infrastructure within consulting advisory or utility environments

• Strong early-stage project development experience (options business cases investment support)

• Understanding of utility drivers: growth resilience serviceriskand sustainability

• Ability to translate technical cost and risk inputs into clear advisory insights

• Strong communicationskills across reportsworkshopsand stakeholders

• Collaborative mindset across multidisciplinary and client-facing teams

• Senior-level capability to lead small teams workstreams or client engagements
