Job Summary

Bethel University has an opening for a full-time Custodian to work first shift
(7:00 AM to 3:30 PM).

This individual will be responsible for cleaning assigned campus buildings and their contents using specified products and equipment and replenishing supplies as needed to maintain a clean safe and attractive physical facility according to the universitys quality standards.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Cleaning building entrances hallways classrooms restrooms laboratories offices floor and windows and their contents.
Dry vacuuming rugs carpets and upholstered furniture periodically to remove light soil and dust
Washing areas such as windows blinds door panels sills and woodwork using cleaning solutions poles and squeegees to remove dirt
Polishing furniture and metalwork with oils and other solutions
Sweeping scrubbing stripping waxing and polishing floors using brooms mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines as needed.
Cleaning dorm facilities in the summer months
A commitment to support the university mission and Covenant of Lifestyle is also required.
