Job Summary
Job Title: Surgical Tech
Location: Hyannis MA
Type: Contract
Schedule: 40 hours/week 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM 3:30 PM)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Surgical Tech for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hyannis MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating room with instruments sterile drapes and equipment
- Maintain sterile field according to hospital policy and AORN standards
- Perform scrub technician duties across surgical services and specialties
- Assemble and verify functionality of surgical instruments and equipment
- Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeon during procedures
- Assist with sponge needle and instrument counts
- Assist with patient positioning transport and transfer to recovery
- Prepare and handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Assist in applying surgical dressings
- Assist with OR turnover cleanup and restocking between cases
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician/OR Technician program
- NBSTSA certification (must maintain active certification)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to read write and communicate in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
