IMEG is hiring a Virtual Design Technician in Columbus OH to produce models and documentation using Building Information Modeling (BIM) this role youll work closely with other Technicians/Coordinators Designers and Engineers on projectssupporting mechanical and electrical system designwhile collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You will also be expected to work within the projects monetary budget.

Principal Responsibilities

• Model edit rework and update models and drawings as communicated by project designers through markups
• Collaborate with other team members to develop coordinated models and drawings
• Assist engineers and designers with field measurements of existing building systems and prepare models and drawings from field data
• Export documents and transfer files to clients
• Follow established standards for modeling and production of drawings and ensure work product meets company quality expectations
• Coordinate models and workflow between members of the design team

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred
• No experience required
• Revit skills desired
• Knowledge of design techniques tools and principals involved in the production of technical plans and models desired
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering as-built drawings desired
• Basic experience in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients
• Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
• High level of professionalism
