Clinical Psychologist, Part-TimeMSH-Psychiatry

The Clinical Psychologist Part-Time provides on-going evaluation and treatment for persons with disabilities and their families. These services include psychological testing and neuropsychological assessment cognitive remediation individual and group psychotherapy family support and educational interventions. Serves as a consultant for the rehabilitation team provides in-service training for medical and rehabilitation staff. This individual participates in clinical training seminars mentors junior psychology staff and provides supervision of externs and interns

1. Identifies psychological emotional or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders using information obtained from interviews tests records and reference materials and plans appropriate interventions.
2. Develops and implements individual treatment plans specifying type frequency intensity and duration of therapy under the direction of attending physician.
3. Interacts with clients to assist them in gaining insight defining goals and planning action to achieve effective personal social educational and vocational development and adjustment.
4. Discusses the treatment of problems with patients.
5. Counsels individuals and groups regarding problems such as stress substance abuse and family situations to modify behavior or to improve personal social and vocational adjustment.
6. Writes reports on clients and maintain required paperwork.
7. Evaluates the effectiveness of counseling or treatments and the accuracy and completeness of diagnoses modifying plans and diagnoses as necessary.
8. Teaching and mentoring staff and students.
9. Participation in training program seminars.
10. Develops programs and conducts research in field of personality development and adjustment.
11. Performs other related duties.

Doctoral degree in Psychology Required

Completion of all required pre and post-doc internship and related training

The American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation

American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) certification preferred
