Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre-Op unit of the Plaza Surgery Center is responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient ophthalmology procedures. The role requires a strong background in pre-operative or post-anesthesia care proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Location:Fullerton California United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide pre-operative nursing care to patients undergoing ophthalmology procedures.
- Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Monitor patients vital signs and overall condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- ACLS BCLS and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pre-Op or PACU.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Strong ophthalmology background.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- CAPA certification.
Special Considerations:

- Position is located in an outpatient surgery center adjacent to the main facility.
- Scheduling preferences can be considered but are not guaranteed.
- Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of submission with a maximum of 5 days.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.

- Work schedule and shift type to be determined.
