Location: Phoenix AZ (Preferred) or Walnut Creek CA (Hybrid Final round onsite)

Job Summary:
Seeking a Data Engineer (Mid Senior Level) with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support a large-scale migration from Avaya to Genesys contact center platform. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines for telecom interaction data including call records transcripts and metadata.

Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable data pipelines on GCP
- Ingest and process structured & semi-structured data (JSON XML DBs)
- Develop workflows using Airflow / Cloud Composer
- Build and optimize datasets in BigQuery
- Manage data ingestion via GCS
- Support data modeling for analytics and reporting
- Ensure data quality performance and reliability
- Collaborate with teams during Avaya Genesys migration
Requirements:
- 5 years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery GCS Airflow)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with ETL/ELT and data pipeline design
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data
- Strong communication skills and Agile experience
Preferred:
- Telecom / Contact Center experience (IVR CDR voice data)
- Experience with Genesys or Avaya migration projects
- Knowledge of data lake architecture
- GCP Certifications
