Reporting to the General Manager this position is a key role in developing then executing our strategies with
responsibility for sourcing components from India. The sourcing focus is in our Genie Aerial work platform
products. We want you to utilize our global leverage to regionally achieve the best value in cost quality reliability
service and support. This role will co-ordinate cross functional relationships including product development/
engineering materials management local purchasing operations finance and aftermarket.

Responsibilities:
This Position shall:
Manage supplier readiness to execute the with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Production
Part Approval Process (PPAP) for Metals Categories like Fabrication Steel & Aluminium Plastics
Fasteners and Support Castings forgings Springs Small Machined Parts.
Qualify Suppliers to the welding code through surveys assessments sample creation and
destructive testing.
Coach suppliers using effective problem-solving techniques (8D 5 Whys fishbone) to ensure root
causes are accurately identified and effective preventive measures are implemented
Conduct on-site manufacturing technical assessments and quality system assessments at domestic and
international supplier locations.
Accurately assess supplier capabilities to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications will be
met reliably in production.
Perform detailed drawing reviews for accuracy and design-for-manufacturability risks; initiate and
recommend engineering changes as necessary.
Develop the supply chain: create and execute custom-tailored quality improvement plans based on
supplier performance data and the maturity of their quality management systems. Including full project
management of all quality improvement related activities for newly selected or struggling suppliers.
Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams and activities focused on purchased component risk reduction
within the AWP supply chain. Must be willing to communicate and collaborate inside and outside of
the organization daily.
Travel up to 50% (domestic and international) to perform supplier site assessments level 5 PPAPs and
problem-solving workshops.

Qualifications / Skill/ Experience / Competencies:
Diploma / Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Equivalent) from an accredited
college/university.
5 years of proven industry experience in the field of Gas Metal Arc Welding GMAW is Preferred.
Should be String in Reading Drawings and Dimensional Inspection of Parts Manual & CMM
Mandatory.
Experience with portable CMM and 3D metrology grade scanners a plus including the ability to generate
and interpret inspection reports using PolyWorks.
Knowledge of Paint and Painting systems (powder coating and liquid) a plus
Proficient in GD&T; able to read and interpret 2D technical drawings and 3D models
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and related tools such as: DFMEA PFMEA
control plans PPAP.
Knowledge of heavy steel fabrication methods such as tooling design and welding sequencing best
practices to ensure part accuracy and manufacturability.
Experience auditing or assessing heavy fabrication manufacturing in a fast-paced production
environment with a keen eye for identifying process improvement opportunities.
Familiarity with American Welding Society codes D1.1 D14.3 D14.9 strongly preferred.
Familiarity with destructive and non-destructive testing (Ultrasonic radiography eddy current mag
particle dye penetrant)
Demonstrated experience solving problems by correctly identifying root cause and implementing
sustainable and effective countermeasures.
Experience with ISO9001 TS16949 or similar quality management systems and auditing practices.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including fluency in both English and Spanish.
Demonstrated team player and collaborator.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
