Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room
Location: Fort Myers FL
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours/week (4x10)
Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM 5:00 PM)

Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR). The RN will provide perioperative nursing care for both adult and pediatric patients across a wide range of surgical specialties. The ideal candidate is highly skilled adaptable and able to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures
• Prepare operating rooms instruments and sterile environments
• Monitor patient status before during and after surgical procedures
• Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards
• Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (Epic)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other OR units or affiliated campuses as required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience required
• Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Degree accreditation required or minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of Florida or compact)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA required
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred

Schedule & Additional Details

• 4x10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM 5:00 PM)
• On-call required (details discussed during interview)
• No block scheduling
• Floating required to other units or affiliated campuses
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius for travel eligibility
