S4 SOLUTION ARCHITECT - Senior IT SAP Consultant
Location: Candidates within 2-3 hours of Charlotte NC or Corning NY preferred. Open to Remote candidates in all US locations (EST preferred) candidates must be willing to support EST time zone.
Schedule: Full-time M-F 8am - 5pm - some flexibility may be required due to work with global teams.
Note: ex. will support MST approximately 6 months for project.
Interview Process: Two Rounds - First Round Video Interview with Team Lead Second Round Video Panel Interview (including technical team)
One-year anticipated assignment. Possibility of extension based on demand.
Travel: no travel required
POSITION OVERVIEW
Corning IT is seeking an exceptional professional with strong expertise in FICO/RTR to lead enterprise-level solution design and support ERP transformation initiatives. This role bridges business and IT defining scalable compliant and future-ready SAP solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and long-term strategy. The Solution Architect will translate business requirements into practical IT service architectures that meet business partner needs.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with business stakeholders IT teams and external partners
Participate in and lead project design sessions to develop end-to-end solutions for complex business problems. Challenge status-quo and think outside the box to devise innovative solutions
Provide architectural guidance across project lifecycle (design build test deploy)
Translate business requirements into end-to-end SAP solution designs
Define and maintain ERP solution roadmaps and architecture standards
Support ERP transformation and large-scale SAP implementation programs
Drive standardization reusable patterns and best practices
Troubleshooting: investigate analyze and solve problems
Handle changes or emergency transport as needed for high priority issues
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree preferred
Associates degree with significant relevant experience (minimum required)
REQUIRED SKILLS
** 10 years of SAP / ERP experience including large-scale S/4HANA implementations (at least 3 end-to-end implementations)**
Strong hands-on experience with SAP FICO / RTR and core finance processes
Solid understanding of S/4HANA architecture and FI/CO integration
Experience with SAP integrations across modules and external systems
Proven ability in solution design blueprinting and architecture governance
** Strong communication and stakeholder management skills **
Experience supporting manufacturing industry

Self-driven adaptable and comfortable working in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
SAP certifications (FICO / S/4HANA)
Experience in ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs

SAP REQUIRED SKILLS FICO: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & CONTROLLING
** Product Costing & Material Ledger: standard costing actual costing multi-level cost rollup and variance analysis
** Investment Management (IM): CapEx planning budgeting AR integration with CO and FI-AA
SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture with Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and real-time FI/CO integration
FI core processes: AP AR Business Partner payments (APP) credit management dunning and cash application
S/4HANA Asset Accounting including AuC capitalization depreciation and asset lifecycle management
Controlling (CO): Cost Center Profit Center (real-time PCA) Internal Orders allocations WIP and settlements
Period-end close & compliance: parallel ledgers document splitting financial reporting tax integration
Cross-module integration with MM SD PP PS and external systems
