Job Title: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Eatontown NJ 07724
Shift: 1st Shift / 2nd Shift
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing installation maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment in a medical device production environment. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical electrical and electronic systems to ensure smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation maintenance and repair of manufacturing and plant equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures and replace defective components
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical electronic and vacuum systems
- Interpret technical drawings schematics manuals and specifications
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
- Use hand tools power tools and testing equipment
- Support process improvements and equipment optimization
- Assist in redesign or modification of existing equipment when required
- Estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions
Technical Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support across production maintenance and operations
- Perform testing and troubleshooting using schematics and diagrams
- Collect and analyze technical data for reporting and improvements
- Support process improvements and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics blueprints and technical documents
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair
- Familiarity with tools testing equipment and maintenance procedures
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Education:
- Vocational/technical training or certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice to Have:
- Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of process improvement and equipment optimization
- Ability to guide or support junior technicians
