Summary:
Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to define the product operating environment.
Support product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods finite element modeling/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle.
Define and document certification and test results to demonstrate compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Aerospace Aeronautical Civil or Structural Engineering (must be included on resume).
12 years of related experience in aircraft stress analysis.
Strong experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools (e.g. NASTRAN ANSYS Abaqus).
Proficiency in stress analysis methods including static fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
Experience with metallic and composite structures.
Knowledge of FAA certification processes and airworthiness requirements.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings specifications and standards.
Experience with test correlation and validation of analytical models.
Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
