Our client a well-established manufacturing business based in Corby is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key role within the finance function offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day financial operations ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review management accounts budgets and forecasts
Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making
Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
Manage cash flow working capital and cost control initiatives
Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
Lead and develop a small finance team
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
Background in manufacturing or a similar operational environment preferred
Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
