Systra is looking for an Environmental Manager to join the growing team in Ontario.

• Support the Environmental Lead in implementing environmental requirements across project design and delivery;
• Completes the review of previously completed investigations and reporting.
• Identify data gaps and commitments.
• Oversees development of the DD&I scope and schedule.
• Coordinates with the Environmental Design and Approvals Manager for applicable subject matter expert teams.
• Lead the subject matter expert team tasked to complete DD&I work and reporting for area of responsibility.
• Incorporates requirements and commitments into design.
• Confirms that requirements and commitments are executed. Leads environmental design integration across all technical disciplines for their area of responsibility.
• Coordinates with design teams construction leads and regulators to resolve environmental risks.
• Responsible for environmental deliverables (including EMPs) schedules and multidisciplinary coordination.
• assist with preparation and review of environmental documentation and drawings;

• Degree or diploma in Environmental Science Environmental Technology or related field;
• 6 years of work-related experience on projects of similar size scope and complexity to the Project;
• knowledge of the Province of Ontarios Transit Rail Project Assessment Process GO Transit Class EA Document and Environmental Assessment Act (Ontario);
• Experience in successfully managing all Environmental Aspects of transit projects in the Province of Ontario;
• Knowledge of relevant federal and Ontario environmental policies procedures and legislation;
• Experience with implementation and management of environmental management systems that conform to ISO 14001;
• Experience liaising with other specialty consultants contractors and Governmental Authorities; and
• Experience with similar projects in the Province of of environmental mitigation and monitoring.
• Environmental certifications (e.g. EPt ECO Canada credentials) considered an asset.
