Your part in our UnitingCare team
This position will provide support to the Local Service Manager assisting with the oversight of our Family and Relationship Centre and Family Dispute Resolution Programs.
As part of your role you will provide practice supervision to a team of Child and Family Practitioners including overseeing Child Inclusive practice; case management; debriefing; and professional supervision.
In addition to your mentoring responsibilities you will where required support case management suitability assessments facilitate dispute resolution for families and contribute to practitioner professional development.
As Senior Practitioner you will consider the needs of all parties particularly those of children giving careful consideration to issues such as violence and power imbalance when assessing relationships and a clients suitability for family dispute resolution.

The successful candidate will need expert communication and strong negotiation skills. It is essential that you communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective pathways are established for addition to the above ideally you will have the following;
Relevant tertiary degree in Social Work Psychology Law BehaviouralScienceor a related field
A minimum 3 years experience working with vulnerable individuals children and families (desirable)
Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Federal Attorney-Generals Department
Be willing to undergo a personal history check under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to Licensing of Care Services
Current Queensland Drivers Licence
Working with Children Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
Expert communication and strong negotiation skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with the requirements of the Family Law Act 1975 Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012; Family Law Regulations 1984; Family Law Rules 2004 Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2025; Family Relationship Centres Operational Framework 2014; Family Relationships Centre Screening and Assessment Framework 2008 and other obligations.
