What youll be doing

Were looking for a Level 7 Planning Assistant to join the Inbound Operational Planning team reporting into the Inbound planning manager. The Operational Planning team connect the end-to-end supply plan with the operational plan. They manage our forecasting and replenishment processes to ensure stock comes into the warehouses in the most operationally efficient way. It is an exciting time to join the team as we are rolling out new systems and developing new ways of working to shape the future of our supply chain helping us be best in class.

Key responsibilities

The Planning Assistant ensures our plans are delivered on time and where changes are needed manages and communicates them clearly. The key responsibilities of the role are:

Collaborating with the Supply and Warehouse teams to plan and manage how we bring stock into the warehouse to support in store events and seasonal plans.

Monitoring and reporting on the progress of activities against critical paths and working with the relevant teams to resolve any issues.

Support the planning and tracking of store show materials from suppliers into our warehouses and distribution network out to stores.

Working with the Seasonal warehouse team to manage the prioritisation of supplier bookings for delivering Christmas stock into our seasonal warehouse.

Support the running and development of our systems and reporting that provide governance around the key supply chain activities to ensure the smooth running of the operation.

What youll need to have (our must-haves)

You will be a team player who enjoys working with others to achieve a common goal

You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills

You will have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

You will have numeracy and Excel skills

You will have a continuous improvement mindset

It would be great if you also have

Experience of supply chains and supply chain systems and forecasting
