Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical services in a critical access hospital setting. The ideal candidate will assist in a variety of surgical procedures and maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Ensure proper setup and turnover of operating rooms
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Required Experience & Skills:
- NBSTSA Certification (CST) Required
- Experience in Operating Room settings
- Ability to float to Endoscopy and C-section suites
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA
- BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
