About the role
We are seeking a strategic results-driven and relationship-focused International Growth Lead our global expansion efforts. This is a unique opportunity to drive international growth by identifying new market opportunities forging strategic partnerships and aligning our international initiatives with our overarching business objectives.
What youll do
Develop & Execute Strategy:
- Design and implement a comprehensive international expansion strategy that aligns with overall corporate objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities across diverse regions assessing potential challenges and growth prospects.
Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand regional trends competitive landscapes and regulatory environments.
- Develop actionable insights to adapt and refine our international strategy.
Partnership & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key global stakeholders including potential partners distributors and clients.
- Lead negotiations and establish strategic alliances joint ventures and distribution agreements.
- Represent the company at international industry events trade shows and business forums.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead mentor and inspire a high-performing international growth team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing product finance operations) to ensure seamless integration of international initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation continuous learning and accountability.
Financial Oversight & Performance Tracking:
- Develop and manage budgets forecasts and KPIs specific to international markets.
- Monitor performance metrics evaluate ROI on international projects and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding international business development progress.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8-10 years of business development experience with a focus on international markets.
- Proven success in launching and scaling operations in multiple geographies.
- Experience in negotiating and closing complex international deals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in market analysis financial modeling and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse international business practices.
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience education specialized training critical expertise training and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterras overall compensation addition to base salary and equity Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
